Music students and professional musicians everywhere are hungry for more, and we’re here to give it to them.

Founded in 2021 by professional musician and music educator Kipp Brewer, The Side-By-Side Project aims to provide the highest quality music education and public performance opportunities to high school music students side-by-side with professional musicians. Think of it as the music world’s form of on-the-job training or an internship. Professional musicians teach sectionals and conduct rehearsals with music students where these students get to play and perform alongside their mentors and other professionals. It’s a form of education like no other that is student-centric, fosters the mentor-student relationship, and also leaves something to be enjoyed by the community afterwards in the form of a public performance.
